I am an MD/PhD student at Washington University School of Medicine, and my research journey has taken me from Barcelona, where I first studied chromosomal instability through the “Crazy About Biomedicine” scholarship at the Institute for Research in Biomedicine, to Emory and now WashU, where I have been drawn ever deeper into the world of dendritic cells and human immunity. Under the mentorship of Dr. Edmund Waller and later Dr. Marco Colonna, I have focused on understanding the non-interferogenic roles of mouse and human plasmacytoid dendritic cells and related populations, while also integrating computational approaches into my work. I am motivated by the opportunity to connect basic immunology with patient-centered discovery and to contribute to advances in both science and medicine through this interdisciplinary path.
