Tongxiang Chen is a PhD candidate in Molecular Immunology at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. Her research focuses on understanding how transmembrane proteins are processed for antigen presentation on MHC class I in human dendritic cells. She develops engineered transmembrane protein systems and combines molecular biology, protein biochemistry, imaging, and functional T-cell reporter assays to investigate the intracellular pathways underlying antigen processing and presentation. At DC2026, she will present her work on dissecting the processing pathways of transmembrane antigens in human monocyte-derived dendritic cells.
