My lab studies the molecular mechanisms that link solute sensing and transport by solute carrier transporters (SLCs) to innate immune responses in dendritic cells, using both in vitro and in vivo approaches. We aim to understand how lysosomal solute transport regulates inflammasome activity, phagosomal dynamics and antigen presentation by maintaining lysosomal homeostasis and linking amino acid sensing to mTORC1-dependent responses and autophagy, a major anti-inflammatory mechanism.
